The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is soaring onto Nintendo Switch and PC on September 3rd, 2019.

The news was hinted at today during Nintendo’s E3 2019 conference, as Spyro was shown in a quick showcase of games headed to the Nintendo Switch.

The official Spyro Twitter then not only confirmed the Switch port, but confirmed that Spyro would be heading to PC too.

This means that, far from its original days of being a PlayStation exclusive, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

There’s also good news for those PC gamers who are anti-Epic: the trilogy is heading to PC via Steam, and there’s no Epic exclusivity in sight. Unless we just cursed this. Sorry if we did.

We reported on a rumour that the trilogy was heading to PC back at the end of May, although the Switch port was apparently kept hush hush.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a series of remakes of the original three Spyro games: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! (or Gateway to Glimmer, based on your region), and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. It was released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 13th, 2018.

You can read our review of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy right here. Spoiler alert: we gave it a 9, and the game’s actually improved with new features since then.
