Listening to music with your friends is a long-time social pastime, and now Spotify is building it directly into its app.

Spotify has been spotted testing a feature of its app that allows multiple users to take joint control of a streaming session. This means you and your friends will be able to switch songs and control playlists from the same app without needing to designate one person as the main DJ. At least, that’s the implication. We actually have no idea what the feature does at the moment as Spotify has yet to share it or release it publicly beyond a small cadre of Spotify employees, until today.

Spotify appears to be rolling this out to more users outside the company now, and it is unclear whether it’s still being tested or the start of an actual wide release.
