Back in Summer this year, Spotify put the emphasis back in “Family Plan” by introducing more child-friendly features to the app. This includes the Family Mix feature, in which families get exclusive access to a personalized playlist, packed with songs the whole family can enjoy.
Now, the company is introducing a designated app, just for kids.
In the Spotify Kids app, parents set up the app for the relevant age category of their child, where they choose between Audio for Younger Kids and Audio for Older kids.
Younger children can enjoy singalongs, lullabies and certain songs from licenced partners like Disney; while the older ones can choose between a variety of 6,000 age-appropriate chart tracks and 80 playlists.
Spotify Kids has currently only been released in Ireland, but availability will branch out over the next few months. To use the app, you require a Spotify Premium Family account, which costs $14.99/ month and permits up to 6 accounts.
