The Spotify app on Android has come under the crosshairs Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineer who has been discovering hidden functionality in apps which companies are still testing out.

Today she has uncovered 3 features likely coming to users of the most popular music streaming app in the world.

The first is a Sleep Timer in Spotify that let you go to sleep with your music playing and turn it off automatically from 5 minutes to 1 hour or at the end of the track.

The second is an interesting feature where you could connect with friends via a scanned code in the app which would let you add songs to a friend’s playlist and vice versa. This would potentially allow for example for a jukebox in a party where attendees can add songs to a playlist or let couples share and update a playlist.

Lastly, after getting Waze integration, it looks like Spotify is also getting Google Maps integration, which means either app can be controlled from the interface of the other, making it safer to use Spotify in the car while navigating for example.

While these features are being tested, there is, of course, no guarantee these will eventually roll out to end users.
