Microsoft has been working on a Split View Mode for the new Skype app some months now, and today the company has finally delivered the first version to the public via the Skype Insider program.

The changelog for the Skype version 8.33.76 reads:

  • The Split View mode: From today you can simultaneously open multiple Skype chats. Just connect to Settings and activate the new split view mode

ALumia managed to demonstrate the new app on video, which shows users will have the option of opening conversations in a new window or keep them integrated.

Skype Insiders can download the new version of the app here.
