Sony just released the “world’s fastest smart multifunction USB hub”, which offers transfer speeds of up to 1000 MB/s.
The USB-C PD port delivers up to 100W of power delivery. Other ports include the HDMI port for video, which supports 4K video at 30 fps. It also includes one USB Type-C and one USB Type-A port, both rated for USB 3.1 Gen 2 transfer speeds.
The hub also comes with a USB-C port for connecting the hub to a computer, with the additional inclusion of a USB-C to USB-C cable, which can be easily replaced if damage is incurred.
There’s also a SD card and microSD card slot, both rated for UHS-II cards. Unlike other high-end hubs, there’s no Mini DisplayPort.
The MRW-S3 is expected to launch this Autumn, but the price is still yet to be confirmed.
