Deva on Reddit reports that his Nokia Lumia 620 is already shipping with a Storage Check feature in settings, which, as the screen shots above show, allows him to check and manage his storage, including clearing out the annoying Other storage area.
Interestingly his OS version is 8.10211.204, which is the usual Portico version, and indicated that the feature does not need the GDR2 feature to work, and opens the way for Nokia to release this an an app update in the near future.
