Microsoft has long promised that full Skype integration would be coming to Windows Phone, and in the latest version of their beta Microsoft Messaging apps for Windows 10 Mobile they have finally delivered.

In the latest version the Microsoft Messaging app now finally integrates with SMS and Skype messaging, and this means users can seamlessly switch between messaging via SMS or Skype Messages.

A tap of a button will also let you switch to sending Skype Video by opening the Skype Video app, which can also make audio-only calls.

The apps are not stable yet, but have received other user interface improvements. We expect the next Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview will come with this integration built-in.
