Skype is increasingly an enterprise VOIP solution, and if you run your meetings over the network, the good news is that the meetings can now be a lot bigger, with Skype testing group calls with up to 50 participants, double the current number of 25.

The feature arrived to the Skype Insider program with version 8.41.76.62 of the app.

When group calls are that big, Microsoft will also modify the call notification, making it a regular notification rather than the usual ringer. The ringer can still be used for specific individuals if required, however.

The feature is currently only available to Skype Insiders.  Regular Skype users can join that program here.

Insiders can download the Skype desktop app here for either Windows or macOS, or the Windows 10 version from the Microsoft Store.  The update should be coming to regular users in due order.
