Microsoft today released a new update for Skype for Android app, taking it to version 8.33.0.43. This update brings better support for the Android phone book, meaning calls can now be made directly from your list of phone numbers.

The full changelog reads:

  • Call on Skype from the phone book – Now you can call people on Skype directly from the phone book. Go to your contacts and look for the option to call a contact using Skype.
  • Improved user experience that participates in Skype calls by using an invitation link.
  • Stability and reliability improvements.
