Windows 10 users have been reporting that they are being offered the same September cumulative update twice, with two separate entries in the update history.

The update, which addresses Spectre-related vulnerabilities, is first downloaded and installed, and after a reboot offered again for installation.  Fortunately, there does not appear to be any harm from having the double installation of KB4457128  and for now, it appears it can be safely ignored.

Despite this, there is an active thread at Microsoft Answers where users are looking into the issue, which can be seen here.

Via HTNovo, thanks Eric for the tip.
