Recombu has managed to capture the screen shot capability in Windows Phone 8, which seems to be activated by holding the power button and pressing the Windows key, pretty close to how it works on the iPhone. Pictures are then placed in a special folder in the camera roll.

The feature has been long awaited, and while it has been pooh-poohed by Microsoft as a feature which no real person has ever asked for, it has taken off on the iPhone in various SMS auto-correction errors and Siri humour sites which Windows Phone users have completely missed out on, showing more than bloggers would have benefited from the feature earlier.
