We reported last week that Samsung will be letting you remap the Bixby button on the Samsung Galaxy S10 (and soon other Galaxy handsets on Android Pie) to let you use the button for something more useful.

Samsung has now released an update for the newly announced Samsung Galaxy S10 which brings the promised Bixby button remapping and Instagram mode.

With the update, if you remap a single click to Google Assitant for example, a double click will still open Bixby. Conversely, if the double click opens the Reddit app, the single click will be Bixby.

A long press on the button will always open Bixby Voice.

What we missed last time was that, besides being mapped to just a single app, the button can also be remapped to a Bixby Quick Command, which can be a collection of actions (a bit like a macro) that can be activated with one word.

See the video below to see how useful this can be:

The Samsung Galaxy S10 range will be hitting the market on the 8th March 2019.
