A few days ago, we reported that Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 2 nine months after the launch of the original version. Display analyst Ross Young claimed that the launch would be in the Spring, but Samsung seems to have made some changes to the launch date as Young is now hearing that the launch date has been delayed to the Summer. Again, this is not official as Samsung made no official announcement regarding the launch date of the Galaxy Z Flip, so don’t be surprised if the launch faces another delay.
Accoridng to rumors, the Galaxy Z Flip 2 will feature a bigger outer display than the first generation Z Flip, which has a tiny 1.1-inch outer display. Samsung is said to be using a new Ultra Thin Glass(UTG) display in the Z Flip 2, but we don’t know the details about the new UTG display just yet.
The Galaxy Z Flip 2 might also join the high-refresh-rate bandwagon by adding a 120Hz display, and with it comes the need to introduce a bigger battery, which, according to the leaker, is exactly what Samsung will do. The Z Flip packs a 3300mAh battery.
Unfortunately, that’s all that we know about the Galaxy Z Flip 2, but as we move closer to the launch date, we’ll get to know more about Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable phone. Rest assured, you’ll keep you updated about all the latest Z Flip 2 leaks.
