The pace of the arrival of new smartphones seems to be faster and faster, with a new report that Samsung is releasing an update to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip a mere 9 months after the launch of the original version.
Interestingly it will not just be a minor update either, with Ross Young from Display Search saying the updates are impressive.
The Z Flip 2 will not be launched with the S21, but it will be launched in the spring. I am impressed with the upgrades it will get.

It is not knowing what the update will bring, but we can assume two smartphone constants – the phones will get thinner and the displays larger.
On this particular occasion, we assume the external screen will get somewhat larger, while a flexible screen with an even smaller fold radius would allow for a thinner device.
Hopefully, the update will also address another major pain point – such as poor water and dust resistance.
