Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles are launching worldwide today. These next generation gaming consoles deliver much improved gaming experience over the previous generation. While the previous generation gaming consoles were limited to 1080p/60fps, Xbox Series consoles can deliver 1080p/120fps on optimized titles. Also, they support ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh rate).

In order to take the full advantage of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Samsung and LG are now delivering firmware updates to their TVs. Most of the 2019 and 2020 flagship models of Samsung and LG TVs are now receiving these new updates.

On your Xbox, check your TV’s 4K and HDR capabilities by pressing the Xbox button to open the guide, go to Settings -> General -> TV & Display Options -> 4K TV details. You should see a series of green checkmarks across the board. If not, you need to troubleshoot a bit.
