Over the past few years, Samsung has been losing its smartphone market share in India due to invasion of Chinese smartphone brands. Especially, Xiaomi last year became the No.1 smartphone brand in India beating Samsung. Xiaomi captured the India market by offering devices that offer great value when compared to others. Even though Samsung made reliable and more refined devices with great after market support, Xiaomi simply offered great specs at unbelievable price to attract millions of customers. Samsung has now decided to take on Xiaomi with its high-value offering with the new Galaxy M series.

Samsung India today announced the launch of Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 smartphones. Galaxy M20 comes with a true FHD+ 6.3” FHD+ infinity-V display, while Galaxy M10 comes with a HD 6.2” HD+ infinity-V display. Both Galaxy M20 and M10 come with dual rear camera setup which includes a 13MP primary rear camera that has F1.9 aperture and a 5MP ultra-wide camera.

Samsung has packed a 5000 mAh battery in Galaxy M20 and the power management feature in it includes a multi-layered technology system to further improve battery life. With the 15W in-box charger, you can charge your device 3X speed as compared to the regular charging.

While the Galaxy M20 is powered by Samsung’s latest Exynos 7904 octa-core processor, Galaxy M10 is powered by Exynos 7870 octa-core processor. These processors will be more than enough for a mid-range device like this. Galaxy M20 comes with both fingerprint and Face Unlock features while Galaxy M10 comes only with face recognition unlock feature. Both Galaxy M20 and M10 come with microSD slot expandable to 512GB and will have dual SIM VoLTE support.

Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 will be available in Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black colours on Amazon.in and Samsung.com from February 5, 2019. Galaxy M20 will cost INR 12,990 ($182 USD) for the 4GB+64GB variant, while the 3GB+32GB variant will cost INR 10,990 ($155 USD).
