Qi wireless charging is very convenient, but also much slower than simply plugging your phone in. Fast Wireless charging is also a misnomer, only increasing the rate at which you charge by about 25%.

Samsung is, however, getting ready to blow your socks off with a new Qi charger which will deliver 25 watts of power, 66% higher than the current limit of 15 watts.

The charger was spotted at the FCC by AreaMobile.de and should be aimed at the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and future handsets like the S10 and S10 Plus.

The Note 9 is of course already expected to feature a rather chunky 4000 mAh battery, meaning keeping your device powered up will soon be much less of a problem.
