samsung gt-i8700 passes through the gcf samsung-gt-i8700

The:unwired.net have noticed another Windows phone 7 smartphone slipping through the Global Certification Forum for GSM, heading for European stores.

While the  smartphone is quadband GSM it only supports 3G on the 900/1900/2100 MHz bands, meaning T-Mobile and AT&T are generally out of luck, and will have to wait for a North American version.

The::Unwired notes GCF certification normally precedes sale by only a few weeks, so the handset stands every chance of being available at launch on the 21st October 2010.
