It seems our mysterious Samsung smartphone has finally received a name. Gizmodo has been tipped off about a Samsung handset, the Samsung GT-i8700, which runs Windows Phone 7.

Not much more detail is available, except that it sports 8 GB of storage, but from the blackness of the screen it likely sports a AMOLED screen.

We have seen the seen the device leaked in distant shots before, but these close-ups confirm it is a real looker, with a edge to edge screen which really shows off the chrome-less design of Windows Phone 7.

If the HTC HD7 does not deliver, this is definitely my next phone.
