Samsung announces new SmartThings Cam and Wifi Smart Plug that can work without a Hub

Samsung today announced three new smart home products, new SmartThings Cam, SmartThings Wifi Smart Plug and SmartThings Smart Bulb. The new SmartThings Cam supports Full HD, HDR, 145-degree wide-angle video with advanced object detection and night vision. It also supports two-way audio for easy communication from a smartphone. SmartThings Cam will come with 24 hours cloud storage for free. If you want 30-day cloud storage, you can get it for $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year.

As the name suggests, SmartThings Wifi Smart Plug will allow users to make nearly any lamp, small appliance or electronic device in the home smart with a compact design and voice control support. The SmartThings Smart Bulb offers personalization with warm, white light that can be dimmed and controlled with a voice assistant.

The SmartThings Cam will cost $89.99, SmartThings Wifi Smart Plug will cost $17.99 and SmartThings Smart Bulb will cost $9.99. The SmartThings Cam and SmartThings Wifi Smart Plug can operate without a Hub. All these are now available from various retailers in the US.
