Report: Microsoft Hires Qualcomm Executive Vice President Peggy Johnson

Recode today reported that Microsoft has hired Qualcomm Executive Vice President Peggy Johnson for a high-level executive post at Microsoft. In the 24 years Johnson has worked at Qualcomm, she has held positions in nearly every facet of the Company.

Qualcomm website provides the following info about her current position at Qualcomm,

Peggy Johnson is executive vice president of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and president of global market development where she is responsible for commercializing new business opportunities and developing strategic relationships for the Company. Notably, she is responsible for the Company’s global marketing organization and oversees Qualcomm Labs, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. that serves as an incubator focused on launching new businesses and products, as well as exploring new market segments for Qualcomm technologies. Johnson also serves as a member of Qualcomm’s executive committee.
