Microsoft has been working on Project Andromeda for a long time now and while the company has been relatively quiet, they do tend to drop hints about the project. One such hint was spotted by a Redditor during a presentation by Microsoft on Azure DevOps.

The Redditor who goes by the username “silentcrs” said that he attended a session at the DevOps Enterprise Conference where he noticed one of the slides having a reference to Andromeda. Not only that, the slide has mentioned WCOS a couple of times as well.

If you go to line 2 in the image, you will notice that Andromeda is mentioned. The line says “Bluetooth: Automated HKL testing to validate Andromeda” and just beside that is the status column mentioning “Proposed”. There’s another mention of Andromeda in the 3rd slide from the bottom and WCOS is also mentioned a couple of times in the slide. The slides again confirm that Microsoft is on track developing Andromeda and WCOS. While we don’t have a timeline, we do expect Microsoft to showcase Andromeda next year.
