Reddit Pix is a new Windows Phone app released by Stephen Ceresia. Unlike full featured reddit clients such as Baconit, Baconography, or Readit, Reddit Pix focuses on doing one thing and doing it well: quickly browsing media.
The app has several popular default subreddits for images and video, including “Pics”, “Advice Animals”, as well as some unexpected ones such as “FullMoviesOnYouTube”. You can also add custom subreddits, although the app is intended to work best with those focused on media. The app flags content that is NSFW (not safe for work), although this can be toggled in the settings.
All the standard sharing on social networks, email, and SMS features are there, and the app allows you to open reddit comments in Baconit, or launch Metrotube for vidoes rather than the browser or default player.
One point the developer notes is that Animated GIF support is still beta, although it should be fully supported in a future update.
The app is free and ad-supported (which you can remove via in-app purchase) and available now on the Windows Phone Store.
