Ubergizmo had some hands-on time with the new Samsung Galaxy S3, which of course has breath-taking specs like a Quadcore processor and 1 GB of RAM, but interestingly found that the handset still suffered from the “Android thingâ€, writing:
In terms of system responsiveness, it is good, but not “groundbreaking†when compared to other fast Android handsets. I think that this is mainly an Android “thingâ€, so there’s not much that Samsung can do about this. Android 4.0 improved the UI responsiveness by quite a bit, but in my opinion, iOS and Windows Phone are still more responsive to user input.
I imagine when Windows Phone 8 gets running on the same hardware, as the rumours suggest, it will become even more clear that speeds and feeds can never really make it for poor design.
