The latest build of Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview, build 10512, did not bring any new features, but is said to have had a significant speed and performance boost over earlier builds, such that some say its now good enough to use as a daily driver.

OneTechSpot.net has put this claim to test by comparing the performance of two Lumia 930 handsets running both Windows Phone 8. and the latest build 10512  of the Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview.

The 12 minute video looks at aspects such as booting, the start screen, browser performance, app load times, built-in apps and more, and I think its safe to say Windows Phone 8.1 still holds the crown, though as Microsoft continues to polish the OS as we head towards release we hope the roles will be reversed.
