PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an extremely popular PC game as it’s always listed on Steam’s Top Sellers chart with over 65,000 concurrent players. It even managed to make $10 million during the first week of release considering that it’s priced at $30! Well, we have official confirmation that it will be available on Xbox One. During a recent interview between the developers (Bluehole) and Invenglobal, Project Director Changhan Kim said:
“There’s something called the Xbox Preview Program, which is basically Early Access for Xbox. We’re hard at work adding the finishing touches to the game there. It’ll be out on both PlayStation and Xbox.”
It’s clear that the game is coming to Xbox One, but it also seems as though it will hit the system before PlayStation 4 players get the chance to experience it. Sony lacks an early access program. This is definitely great news for Xbox One owners because they’ll get to play the title soon.
For those of you unfamiliar with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the Battle Royale game mode will put up to 100 players on a remote island for a winner-takes-all showdown where strategic gameplay is as important as shooting skills. Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that eventually forces players into a shrinking play zone as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death. It’s absolutely insane and a lot of fun!
