Microsoft Paint Windows 11

Microsoft is currently in the process of giving an AI makeover to pretty much all its services, including the ones it hadn’t updated for a very long time. The Paint app, for example, recently received an update that introduced some AI-powered drawing features. And it looks like more AI-driven capabilities are on the cards for the Paint app, including one relating to generating AI art in real-time.

According to renowned Windows leaker PhantomOcean3 (@PhantomOfEarth), an AI feature planned to be rolled out next to the Paint app is something called “LiveCanvas”. While the leaker isn’t sure what it does, the Leonardo.Ai generative AI tool also has a feature called LiveCanvas.

What does LiveCanvas do in Leonardo.Ai?

Launched last year, LiveCanvas in Leonardo.Ai generates real-time AI art as you draw on your canvas. It offers you two windows side by side: one for allowing you to draw something, and the other is for generative AI art live as you draw. It’s hard to say if Microsoft’s LiveCanvas in the Paint app is similar to the one found in the Leonardo.Ai tool or something else entirely.

Regardless, the leaker hasn’t specified when the LiveCanvas feature will arrive in the Paint app. If true, we’re almost certain that it will be rolled out to Windows Insiders first before being rolled to stable users.
