Outlook for Android updated with search-based user interface improvements

Microsoft today released a new update for the Outlook app on Android. This v2.2.147 update brings improvements to the user interface of the application, mainly focussed on the Search experience.

The changelog reads:

  • Navigation bar – Introduced a new simplified navigation bar with Search in the foreground.
  • Search tab – Direct access to main contacts, itineraries for upcoming trips, deliveries of packages and recent attachments, directly from the Search tab.
  • Search for messages and contacts from a single search box.
  • Contacts and files integrated directly into the experience.

The update also includes performance improvements and bug fixes to improve the overall experience. If you own an Android device then you can head to the Google Play Store below and download the update.
