Outlook for Android app was recently updated in Play Store with support for mentions. To use Mentions, simply add the @ symbol in the body of an email. This will bring up your frequent contacts as well as access to your directory. Select the person you want to highlight, and they will automatically be added to the To: line if they were not already included. In addition, their name will be highlighted in the message in blue and they will receive an @ flag in their inbox view next to the message.

Change log:

  • Tap the @ sign in an email to quickly mention people and call out their attention on the things they need to see, read or do. Emails you’re mentioned in will appear with an @ sign in your inbox.
  • Easily add people to the events you’re going to by forwarding them the invitation. (Office 365 users only)

Download the updated app here from Play Store.
