CNET reports that Microsoft has announced a coming fix for the Windows Phone 8 reboot issue, which affects a percentage of users.

"We’re continuing to investigate some reports of phones rebooting and have identified a cause with our partners," Microsoft said in a statement. "We are working to get an over-the-air update out in December."

Microsoft however declined to identify the cause of the reboots.

The Over the Air update would be the first opportunity for Microsoft to test pushing out big fixes and updates directly to Windows Phone 8 users, and we can only hope it will proceed smoothly.
