Oppo’s Weibo account earlier confirmed that the Oppo Reno Ace smartphone is going to be launched on October 10 in China. True to its words, the company has launched the Reno Ace, a smartphone with the world’s fastest fast charging technology, in China.
Oppo’s Reno Ace smartphone packs a powerful Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, an 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, and 4,000mAh battery. Oppo says that the battery of the smartphone can go from 0 to 100 percent in just 30 minutes, thanks to the 65W Super VOOC fast charging technology.
The smartphone features a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, it also gives the option to increase the screen refresh rate to 90Hz, like the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T smartphones. Otherwise, the Reno Ace smartphone comes with a notch.
Talking about the camera, or should I say cameras, it has a quad-camera set up at the rear. We’re talking 48MP primary camera (IMX586), 8MP ultra-wide lens (116-degree field of view), a 13MP telephoto shooter with 5x hybrid zoom, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. Oppo packs a 16MP camera at the front for taking selfies.
Other specs include supports USB-PD, Game Boost 2.0 tech for smoother gaming, in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, and a headphone jack.
The Oppo Reno Ace smartphone will be available in two color options — Psychedelic Purple and Starry Blue. The pricing starts at 3,199 yuan (~$450) for the 8GB/128GB model, 3,399 yuan for the 8GB/256GB variant (~$478), and 3,799 yuan (~$534) for the 12GB/256GB option.
