OnePlus is pursuing a new strategy for its smartphone business. Part of its new strategy includes focussing more on the entry-level and budget smartphones as against what most us thought — that the company wants to become a flagship smartphone brand like Apple and Samsung. Last month, we reported OnePlus is working on an affordable smartphone called OnePlus Nord N10 5G for the US market.

Another good news for the users in the USA is that OnePlus is working on not one but two affordable smartphones — one is, of course, the Nord N10, and the other one will be called OnePlus Nord N100, according to famous Indian tipster Mukul Sharma. The tipster further claims that these two new affordable smartphones will be launched in the USA by the end of this month.

It’s also being said that these two smartphones won’t be available outside of the USA, meaning emerging markets like India are unlikely to get it. Though, we haven’t heard from official sources about the availability of the Nord N10 and N100.

OnePlus Nord N10 5G specs

OnePlus Nord N10 5G will be powered by Snapdragon 690 processor, which is Qualcomm’s first 5G-equipped Snapdragon 600 series chipset. For the sake of comparison, the OnePlus Nord is powered by Snapdragon 675, which is not equipped with 5G and is 25% less powerful than the SD 690. The Nord N10 5G will have at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, which also means there will another variant with more RAM and storage.

Talking about the display, the Nord N10 5G will feature a 6.49-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. The 90Hz screen refresh rate can also be found in the Nord smartphone and now that it’s also coming to the N10, it seems that however low-cost smartphones the company makes, it wants to offer a 90Hz screen refresh rate as the minimum.

The Nord N10 will feature a decent camera setup. The smartphone will have a 64MP main camera, which will be joined by an 8MP wide-angle lens and two 2MP auxiliary sensors. We don’t have any information on the selfie camera at this moment.

The tipster didn’t mention the price of these two new affordable OnePlus phones, but rumor has it that the N10 will cost under $400. We currently have no information on the specs and pricing of the Nord N100 smartphones. Hopefully, we’ll get to know more about them before the launch.
