With days to go for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 range launch on Wednesday, one would have thought there was nothing new to surprise us with.

Thankfully regular Microsoft leaker WalkingCat managed to find one new tidbit.

We of course already knew that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra supported 8K video recording, and up to 120 fps video recording, but the slide posted by WalkingCat revealed that in Pro Video Mode users will be able to record audio via their Samsung Buds Live which would act as a lapel mike. The feature is presumably aimed at creators, and joins another feature revealed called Omni mode, where users will be able to specify whether to record audio for a video from the front, rear or both microphones on the handset.

The full specs for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 range  have been leaked earlier and can be seen below:

The pricing for the handsets for Europe have been leaked earlier and can be seen below.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G 256GB: EUR 999
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G 256GB: EUR 1099
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G 512GB: EUR 1449
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G 256GB: EUR 1349
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds Live: ~EUR 189

That makes the Note 20 series about 50 euro more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 range, despite the base Note 20 being a poorer handset than the base Note 10, for example having a plastic back and flat screen.

Look forward to our largely symbolic coverage of the launch next week.
