"Once Upon a Puppet," a new theatrical adventure game, released for Xbox Series X|S

Flatter Than Earth, an independent game development studio, has officially released its debut title Once Upon a Puppet. The theatrical 2.5D puzzle-platformer is now available on Xbox Series X|S for all gamers.

The game promises to offer an emotionally rich adventure set in a vibrant world inspired by stagecraft and storytelling.

Players will play as Drev, a passionate Actor, and Nieve, a skilled Stagehand and Tailor, navigating the kingdom of theatre. Bound by a mystical force, the duo must collaborate to solve puzzles, manipulate stages, and face off against the enigmatic Shadow King.

The platforming play comes with costume-based advancement through different levels. Other ways would require the players to collectible artifacts of narrative, and or manipulate an already existing performance.

 The main characteristics are manipulating the stage devices to solve puzzles, discovering secrets through light and visual cues. Players would also get to experience a more in-depth understanding of the game’s lore via collectibles and cutscenes

‘Once Upon a Puppet’ is a combination of emotional story-telling and original gameplay that brings something new to the platformer adventure game genre. The game places a high focus on emotional and visual narratives and seems like it will provide an interesting experience for narrative focused gameplay.
