A TechEd New Zealand attendee claims to have seen a demo by Microsoft of an official SkyDrive app by Microsoft which has the ability to play music directly from the folders.
If true this would answer the demand from users to use their 25 GB of storage as a music locker similar to the Google Music and Amazon and Apple’s own cloud services.
Providing dedicated apps is a quick way of adding functionality to Windows Phone 7 in-between releases of the operating system and we hope Microsoft uses this tool more often keep pace with the rapidly evolving competitive environment in the smartphone world.
