NVIDIA today announced that Azure is now a supported platform with NVIDIA GPU Cloud (NGC). With this support, developers can accelerate their AI and HPC workflows with powerful GPU-optimized software that takes full advantage of supported NVIDIA GPUs on Azure. NGC offers pre-configured containers with GPU-accelerated software. Its deep learning containers are updated monthly to ensure the best possible performance.
You can access 35 GPU-accelerated containers for deep learning software, HPC applications and HPC visualization tools and run them on the following Microsoft Azure instance types with NVIDIA GPUs:
- NCv3 (1, 2 or 4 NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs)
- NCv2 (1, 2 or 4 NVIDIA Tesla P100 GPUs)
- ND (1, 2 or 4 NVIDIA Tesla P40 GPUs)
Microsoft is also releasing a new image called NVIDIA GPU Cloud Image for Deep Learning and HPC on Azure Marketplace to make it easy to use NGC containers with Azure. It offers a pre-configured environment for using containers from NGC on Azure. To access NGC containers using this image, signup for a free account and then pull the containers into your Azure instance.
