Kwok Tai has uploaded this demo of the DLNA app to YouTube, and I must say it is pretty slick, especially for its ability to smoothly scrub through video and also very responsive transmission of the video and photos.

Likely the main problem is of course that it does not work in the background and is not integrated with the apps in the OS (though I imagine a menu entry in the photo and Zune hub would not be too difficult) and of course it does not support audio streaming at present.

The Play To app is exclusive to Nokia, though some other OEMs do have their own DLNA applications, including LG on all their phones, HTC on some recent ones.
