3d touch 2

It seems Nokia’s rumoured super phone, the Nokia McLaren, wont make it to market after all.

According to Tom Warren the device has been killed off, and will no longer be debuting in November.

The handset was meant to show case a new Microsoft technology, 3D Touch, but while the technology will still be developed by Microsoft, it may not end up on devices any time soon.

Tom Warren notes that while the cancellation of the handset may leave a hole in Microsoft’s line up for fall, there are other high end devices ready to fill it, so it may not be that much missed.

I suspect to most the 3D Touch was always a gimmick, so it will not be too missed.  It is worrying however that so many changes are being made to Microsoft’s mobile efforts, which is developing a rather chaotic image.
