Nokia Lumia shows up at the Canonization of John Paul II & John XXIII

There is one major country in the Western World where Windows Phones are outselling iPhones, which likely explains why the bishop in the above picture, who is taking his own picture of the canonization of John Paul II & John XXIII today,is using a Nokia Lumia rather than the ubiquitous iPhone.

The handset appears to be a Nokia Lumia 900, a sign of the early popularity of Windows Phones in Italy even before Windows Phone 8.

Given that the current Pope, Pope Francis, is from South America, another area where Windows Phone is doing better than the iPhone, it does make us wonder what handset his holiness is sporting…
