Midcom is the Telecommunication arm of Midland Group and is the exclusive distributor of Nokia Phones in 11 countries across East and West Africa.

The company has operations in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana and sales coverage across Ethiopia, Togo, Cameroon, D. R. C. and Ivory Coast. It provides Nokia with the single biggest mobile phone distribution platform across the India, Middle-east and Africa Region.

The company has now posted on their Facebook page that the Nokia Lumia 920 will be coming to East Africa in a number of colours this January.

This may make it the fastest roll-out of this premium Nokia windows phone yet, and once again an indication that Nokia is now able to ramp up the supply of the handset and serve many more markets.

Hopefully this will allow Nokia to maintain or even increase shipment numbers in Q1 2013 at the same or higher levels than Q4 2012.

Thanks Jay for the tip.
