Nokia expects 75% of Android apps to be compatible with the Nokia X, the rest to take 8 hours to port


The biggest weakness of Nokia X software platform is expected to be poor compatibility with the bulk of Google Play apps.

Now on Nokia’s Developer portal the company is claiming 75% of Android apps will run on the handset unmodified, and than the rest can often be ported in less than 8 hours, even if they use Google’s services.

To help developers along Nokia has created a plugin which can be downloaded from their developer pages here to analyse apps for porting issues.
