Navigon has become the latest high profile app to leave the Windows Phone platform.
In a notice in the app, the GPS Navigation company announced their departure, blaming it on Microsoft officially stopping development of the platform.
They write:
Important Information!
Dear NAVIGON customer,
Microsoft has now officially has stopped production of Windows phones. That’s why we have with a heavy heart decided to leave the platform.
As of May 2018, the NAVIGON app and its additional packages will no longer be available for purchased. You can still use the app though and download it again as an existing customer.
For those who purchased of additional packages (e.g. FreshMaps) we will be within the license duration continue to deliver updates.

Microsoft is expected to re-enter the smartphone market with a dual-screened hybrid phone/tablet which is expected to still run Windows Phone apps, but it seems when this device arrives it will be to a thoroughly depleted app store.
