Three weeks ago Technobuffalo leaked some marketing renders of what they claim is the Fitbit Versa 2. The device appears to be identical to the current Fitbit Versa, but with new colours not available in the current range. Besides the Rose Pink above and Silver below, the smartwatch will also be available in Purple and Cyan Blue, with a new choice of a white or grey band.

Now Evan Blass has confirmed the name of the tracker, which probably also gives us some insight into the specs.

According to Blass the wearable would be called the Fitbit Versa Lite.

This suggests the device will likely be cheaper, with a smaller, lower resolution screen and fewer features. It is clear however that the device retains its heart-tracking capability.

The Versa was launched in March last year, making it likely its successor will also hit the market around the same time this year.
