Microsoft today announced its Q2 2016 (fiscal year) earnings. The company announced an increase in revenue for Office, Surface, Azure and decrease in its Phone business. Alongside those numbers, Microsoft revealed an impressive growth for its search advertising business. According to the company, its search advertising revenue increased by 21% (in constant currency) thanks to Windows 10.

According to Microsoft, nearly 30% of search revenue in December 2015 was driven by Windows 10 devices.

Following the release of Windows 10, Bing probably saw a major growth in its search traffic. As you may know, Microsoft integrated Bing search results inside Windows 10’s search function for the Start Menu which is probably why the company’s search advertising revenue grew.
