Microsoft has released their earnings report for the Q2 of their 2018 fiscal year (as distinct from the calendar year).

Windows OEM earnings grew by 11% in the pro market. More premium licenses were sold over the quarter.

For non-pro OEM license, fewer devices were sold over the quarter leading to fewer license sales. There was a decline of 5% recorded. This can be attributed to increasing competition from Chromebooks on the low-end, and a shift of the PC market as a whole towards premium-midrange devices running Windows 10 Pro.
