channel9

If you have been following Microsoft closely, you are probably familiar with Channel 9. It’s a website where Microsoft shares videos for developers, where its employees and others give a closer look at development on some of Microsoft’s popular products and services. The company also shares videos from events such as Build or Ignite on the website, which makes it a really good source for developer videos if you are looking to develop for any Microsoft products or services such as Windows 10.

Today, Microsoft announced that it is revamping Channel 9 with a brand new user interface on the web. The new website puts a lot of focus on featured content and fresh content, allowing developers to stay up-to-date with all the latest videos. The updated site also makes the video pages much prettier, and it also makes downloading videos slightly easier. Unfortunately though, the video player’s design is still inspired by the Windows 8 UI — therefore, it feels kinda old especially if you have been using Windows 10 for the past year or so.

As we mentioned earlier, the new Channel 9 is not available to everyone just yet. Microsoft is currently previewing it, and all users can check out the new Channel 9 here. If the testing of the preview goes well and the company does not find many bugs on it, it’ll probably get rolled out to the main website very soon. In htet meantime, let us know what you think of the new design in the comment section below.
