A little while ago we reported a bug which broke Windows Media Player on Windows 10 version 1809. The bug was spotted just after Microsoft released a bunch of cumulative updates to fix several issues on Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

Microsoft later acknowledged this issue in the changelog and promised a fix soon. The good news is Microsoft might have managed to fix the issue as the company updated their changelog to notify that a fix will be available soon. The December’s Patch Tuesday is on 11th which means we could expect a cumulative update to fix the issue in a week.

Although Microsoft hasn’t finalized the date yet, it’s safe to assume that the fix will arrive on Patch Tuesday.
