Microsoft has released updates for both the beta and regular version of the popular Microsoft Launcher for Android, bringing new features to both.

The regular version has been updated to version 4.9.0.42615 with the following improvements, first seen in the beta version:

  • Improved Home screen import logic
  • Sort your apps alphabetically in folders
  • Display names of apps or folders in your dock
  • Customizable gesture for pressing the Home button from the Home screen
  • New gesture option that lets you quickly lock the layout of your Home screen

The beta version has also been updated to version 4.10.0.43134 and brings the following new features:

  • Your family in Launcher – Parents with Microsoft Launcher installed can view the last known location and activity (apps and sites visited) of their children using an Android smartphone with Microsoft Launcher.
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.

This feature must be very attractive to parents, although I suspect it won’t be long before Microsoft offers the same capabilities to companies.

The Launcher app can be found in the Google Play store here.
