Microsoft to Strengthen European Ties with New Cyber, AI, and Compliance Projects

 Microsoft is making a firm commitment to Europe through new projects focused on cybersecurity, AI infrastructure, and regulation compliance.

 A significant development is the appointment of a new Deputy Chief Information Security Officer in Europe. This position will oversee Microsoft’s cybersecurity strategy and ensure compliance with emerging EU regulations such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

Microsoft also announced its plans to expand its cloud and AI infrastructure across Europe. Over the next two years, the company will increase its European datacenter capacity by 40%, which will help boost the region’s economic competitiveness.  

Microsoft is dedicated to making its Azure AI technology openly available so that European businesses can prosper in the emerging AI economy.

In response to growing cybersecurity threats, Microsoft has continued its support for European governments, including NATO and Ukraine, providing cybersecurity intelligence and defense. The company also emphasizes its role in protecting European data privacy and has invested in strong data protection measures, including the EU Data Boundary project and enhanced encryption options.

 In doing so, Microsoft has committed to Europe’s future digital resilience, privacy and innovation.
